ISES Wedding Showcase

T'DAs romantic vintage tabletop design entitled "Love Me Do" received the Best Use of Theme award at the 2012 ISES wedding showcase “Fashion meets Fantasy”, held at The Studios at Overland Crossing in Denver. A handmade wedding dress belonging to owner Wendy Foster's mother, her parents' love story, and a number one Beatles song - all celebrating their 50th anniversaries - inspired the fantasy design.
The ivory dress in jacquard rose satin, pillbox cap and veil and wedding pictures reproduced in large format frame the scene that combines layers of texture, florals, delicate fabrics, in a palette of sepia hues, mixed metals and soft neutrals to create perfect harmonies.
Vintage amber, milk, and blush glass accent the table setting. A cap of vendela rose petals, and birdcage lace surround the table’s edge. The centerpiece is structured to look like a 60’s style lamp, the “shade” was full floral including roses, football mums, and hydrangea, accented with vintage broaches. Gifts of spray roses in amber glass were embellished with feathers and pearls - a nod to the whimsy of the original wedding bouquet. The placecards were photographs from the wedding album that got the modern touch and made to look like Polaroids (refrencing the camera’s sensational popularity in 1962), each bearing the name of a Beatles girlfriend. The chairs were “dressed.” Metallic chiffon sashes were crocheted across the back and tied with a broach - with a belt of button mums on ivory lace, and finished with sweeping trains of fresh rose petals.

"Love Me Do" pays homage to an enduring marriage in the most creative way possible - why we love what we do!

Starkey Productions with Longview Technologies

Starkey Productions puts on great events and this was no slouch. Dueling pianos centered the club level at Invesco Field and bars with Christmas trees representing the past, present and future surrounded the room. Custom projections of Longview Technologies logo were projected high on the walls and LED lights washed the space in color. Again, thanks to Adriane Hodder and Tracey Wright with Starkey whose experience and attention to detail make every event they do a smooth one.

Colorado Coalition for the Homeless- 25th Annniversay Gala

The good people at Colorado Coalition for the Homeless threw an event at Invesco Field hosted by the greatest wide receiver in Broncos history Rod Smith and headlined by arguably the greatest band from Colorado, Big Head Todd and The Monsters. Colorado Coalition for the Homeless throws some great fundraisers and this one was tops. Large swags caught snowflake projections and white branch birch trees created a crisp backdrop for Todd and the band.

Second Home's Haunted Back Yard

In addition to some rockin' food based on comfort food your grandma used to make, Second Home at the JW Marriott throws an annual Halloween Party right in their own backyard. Great party, until the Grim Reaper showed up. He really needs to lay off the beer cooler.

Starkey Productions at the Westin Westminster

Starkey Productions had a client who wanted to bring a taste of the changing aspens inside the Westin Westminster. Vignettes of aspen trees were set around the perimeter of the room and by the buffets. Centerpieces of yellow roses wrapped with birch bark adorned the tables and washes of amber light finished the look. It was a pleasure working with Tracey Wright from Starkey who seems to have a gene for organization and attention to detail. I have the cheeseburger gene, no complaints.

DSC-Travelers Insurance and PartnerRE at The Broadmoor

DSC was on the ball with the CIAB conference at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs. Numerous events took place and T'DA helped with table settings and a little decor. Our florist, Nicole Lawson, created elegant centerpieces with calla lilies, orchids, roses and hydrangea for three different nights. Special thanks to Wendy Mason and her great crew at DSC for making this a smooth string of events.

Blanford Wedding, Durango, CO

Congratulations to Lesley and Zack as they tied the knot with a beautiful wedding in Durango. Blue and yellow paper lanterns were suspended in the ceiling and swooping, glowing, fabrics lined the tent. As always, the stunning flowers from our resident designer Nicole Lawson made the decor. Special thanks to Heidi Chowen Photography for these crisp and imaginative photos and our apologies to the woman who is really getting down on the dance floor for posting the photo, but we love it and it seems you did too.
